MAC Vegas Volt with Morange layered over for extra neon orange punch. Birthday lipstick.
2 years later, my orange lipstick look will still randomly get a reblog here or there. I still like wearing orange lipstick, it’s def gutsy!
Check out my friend Anny wearing MAC Russian Red! She is, coincidentally, also hardcore Russian.
I wore the same lipstick out to dinner last weekend. This is considered to be one of the most universally flattering reds out there, worn by celebs like Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani. Another uber popular red is MAC Ruby Woo, which I don’t personally own. I tend to prefer Diva because I lean into more plum tones with my makeup, but Russian Red is a great red for anyone, especially a girl who is taking the dive into red lips and not quite sure where to start. You find your “niche” in the color family after awhile, but this is a good foundational shade.
Plus, having a super pretty friend sporting it is one of the best PR campaigns the shade could ask for. Holla.

I have Instagram now but it confuses me so whatever. (Or actually I’ve had it for 5 months but my friend Danielle harangued me into using it last night.)
But if you want to follow me and watch me flail: ajmarechal.
Bout to go get in a few circles with my girl Nellie at a dance event, but first tea + purple lipstick.
Wearing Illamasqua’s Kontrol, the lipstick I told you guys about in a long list of product recs. About as grape colored as you can get. Dabbed it a little for the sake of “I’m wearing sweats.”

Hi all, I thought I’d post some pics of a fun magenta lip that I’m wearing tonight — it’s MAC lip liner in Magenta (another staple, like Cherry) paired with MAC lipstick in Stylecaster, which is almost a purple — I think Stylecaster was a limited edition shade, but you can pick up this autumn’s limited edition purple, Plum Bright, as a substitute if you want to recreate this look. I chose purple over a more fuchsia tone tonight because it has a bluer base, and thus more pop against the skin (also more jarring for those who aren’t used to wearing brights, so be prepared). Happy Friday night! Xox

And with my green, Chanel manicure:

PS: Feel free to message me if you want to know any of the other products I used. <3
