Idol - by Nabhan Abdullatif
The mice have gathered to watch their favourite mouse in action. Awesome illustration by artist Nabhan Abdullatif. Follow him on Tumblr.
I just adore this.
Oh my gosh! Best GIF! This just triggered some weird childhood sensation in my brain and now I feel like I’m holding a VHS box in my hands and eating a Fudgsicle.

Hipster Ariel. Just go look. JUST. GO. LOOK.
One of my favorite books, one of my favorite movies (animated version, not that strange live action business, though Johnny Depp was of course good).
Lip combo of the day: Chanel Rouge Noir with MAC Wrong Spell gloss from Venomous Villains over.
Do yourself a favor if you haven’t already: go pick up pieces from the VV line. I’m not kidding. I am hailing it as one of the best limited edition MAC lines in awhile. The lipsticks are great (but I of course wish they were matter, but what else is new). The glosses are to die for. Gorgeous beauty powders, punchy, surprising nail colors. Flattering but interesting eyeshadows. The only thing I don’t like — which I never like — are the baked eyeshadows. I just don’t see the point. But anyways, the line is fab. Should I do a product breakdown soon for anyone interested? Let me know makeup geeks.

Evidently Marines ousted pirates from some ship near Somalia today. In case you didn’t know, this is what real pirates look like, and I’ll be the first to admit that I am completely let down that they do not resemble Captain Hook and/or Johnny Depp even in the least respect. A new, less stereotypical name needs to be coined, perhaps oceanic-hoodlums or burglars-by-the-sea (I actually think that has a nice phonetic ring to it, despite its length). I’m just tired of all of my Disney definitions of things being pulverized by reality and CNN. First I find out that combing your hair with a fork is really inefficient (thanks Arielle) and now pirates are just dudes on a speedboat with guns.
Growing up sucks.
Super stoked about this limited edition line coming out at the end of September. Anastasia hooked me up with a link to the photos, and I’m reposting them here. Unlike a lot of MAC’s limited lines, the Venomous Villains collection looks very wearable with punchy shades like purple here and there. The beauty powders look great. I will of course be investing in…almost all of them…because I am a MAC-addict through and through. Here are the pics, get excited:
Cruella de Vil, classic colors.
(Btw just realized her name is a play on “devil,” I apparently wasn’t very observant as a little girl)

Maleficent, bold purples, blues and deep berries.

The Queen, again with bold purples and deep berry tones.

Love this beauty powder here:

Dr. Facilier…I don’t know how much I like this section of the line, but it looks nice nonetheless.

Must haves will definitely be everything from Cruella and the beauty powders from all lines. Yesss.
Okay enough dorking out about le maquillage.
Forget Christian Bale & Co. on this Space Mountain pic — check out the Disneyland employee giving a mad gangsta mug while on the ride. I can only hope to look so cool while being hurled through a dark room at high speeds.
